Area description

South Devon offers an exceptional variety of climbing styles on high-quality coastal limestone, from the committing trad adventures and world-class deep water soloing on the sea cliffs of Berry Head to the steep sport routes of Anstey’s Cove and the beach bouldering around Torbay. Climbers will find everything from technical face climbing to powerful cave routes, with options for all abilities. The dramatic coastal setting brings tidal considerations and spectacular sea views, with a temperate maritime climate, plus a mix of sunny winter cliffs and shaded summer venues, climbing is possible year-round, weather permitting.
