🧭 SE 🚶🏻♂️1-5 ‘ ⬆️ 170 m 🇬🇧 Massone, or as many people also call it, Policromuro, is one of the main crags in Arco: firstly because of its proximity to the town, and secondly because of the immense number of routes it offers. This crag is located in a beautiful olive grove, also known as Bosco Caproni. It features six sectors with grades mainly ranging from 5A to 9A (around 178 routes). The easiest climbs are found in the first sector on the left, while for stronger climbers the best sector is Pueblo, which offers steep overhanging routes. Over the years, extremely difficult climbs such as Thunder Vibes, Pure Dreaming Plus, and Underground have been established here, this one is perhaps the most iconic, as it starts deep inside the cave and follows the entire roof. Massone is generally climbable all year round, but the best seasons are definitely spring and autumn. Sectors such as Abissi and Pueblo also allow climbing in the rain. Although many routes are quite polished, they remain beautiful. The municipality of Arco works to ensure constant maintenance of the protection. On some routes it is still possible to find bolts that are slightly more spaced out, but in the sectors best suited for beginners the protection is always close together. In the Pueblo sector, fixed quickdraws are often left on the bolts, so it is always recommended to carefully check the equipment before weighting it. Groaz. 🇮🇹 Massone o per molte altre persone Policromuro è una delle falesie principali di Arco, uno per la sua vicinanza all’ abitato e due per la sua immensa vastità di tiri che offre. Questa falesia è situata in un bellissimo uliveto detto anche Bosco Caproni, presenta sei settori con gradi principalmente dal 5A al 9A (178 tiri circa), i tiri più facili si trovano nel primo settore a sinistra mentre per i climbers più forti il settore migliore è il Pueblo, il quale presenta tiri in forte strapiombo dove sono stati saliti negli anni tiri di estrema difficoltà come Thunder Vibes, Pure dreaming plus e Underground, quest’ultimo forse è quello più iconico perché parte da dentro in fondo alla grotta e segue tutto il tetto. Tendenzialmente a Massone si scala tutto l’ anno ma le stagioni migliori sono sicuramente la primavera e l’autunno, settori come Abissi e il Pueblo permettono anche di scalare mentre piove, nonostante molti tiri siano abbastanza levigati rimangono bellissimi. Il comune di Arco lavora per mantenere una costante manutenzione delle protezioni, è possibile su alcuni tiri di trovare ancora protezioni leggermente più distanziate ma nei settori più adatti ai principianti le protezioni sono sempre ravvicinate, il settore Pueblo presenta spesso invece rinvii fissi sugli spit quindi si consiglia sempre di controllare attentamente l’ attrezzatura prima di appendercisi sopra.
