Rock type Limestone

Area description

Buoux is a most historically significant sport climbing area, playing a central role in defining modern limestone climbing during the 1980s. Renowned for steep, pocketed walls and technical, power-endurance routes; the climbing is sustained and often unforgiving, demanding precise footwork, strong fingers, and good route reading. Grades are famously stiff, with many routes feeling harder than their numbers suggest, especially in the mid to upper ranges.

Access notes

Climbing is only allowed in"Face Ouest" to "Bout du Monde".
