Area description

Gardens of Stone, located within Newnes Plateau, is an emerging climbing destination in Australian climbing. The climbing is a broad range of styles; from accessible beginner crags (Marrangaroo Creek) to hard sport (Azaria's) to futuristic, jaw dropping crack climbing (Disbelief Cave, Mother Earth, Cathedral Cave). Gardens of Stone is a wilder climbing destination than the well trafficked crags of Blue Mountains; expect driving on bumpy dirt roads, long approaches, bush bashing and choss at crags.
